A qualified professional surveillance and close protection officer with extensive hands on experience within the commercial sector. Worked extensively within the medical and insurance fraud market conducting surveillance and high profile close protection and residential security team (RST) tasks. WORK HISTORY:
May 2008 ? Present: John Featherstone Security and Surveillance:
Completed a 2 month RST tasking in the South West of England. My role was to organise the task from the very start this included shift planning, staffing and working staff rotations, equipment sourcing and budget management including invoicing also implementing reporting procedures and follow up reporting up the chain of command and liaising with the local police force.
Recently recommended for and completed a high profile RST tasking on behalf of a high profile security company. The principal was a member of the British Aristocracy. During this tasking, a Senior Member of the British Royal Family was in attendance and my team and I received high praise for the manner in which we approached and performed the task from HRH staff, the Principal and the client.
On numerous occasions I have undertaken event security tasking?s, employed within the control room. My responsibilities have included maintaining command and control of several call signs working within the events. During these tasking?s my radio operator skills have been an asset to the companies that I have worked for.
Worked throughout the UK; my contracts to date have included surveillance work in the insurance fraud, medical and commercial sector.
September 2009 ? Worked for the BBC providing close protection and security advice for one of its many camera crews that were covering several high profile demonstrations throughout the UK.
Provided close protection for a professional businesswoman in the North East of England. Tasks included escorting the client to and from work and carrying out all of the required roles of a CPO helping to maintain a sterile environment so she could carry on with her duties with minimum disruption at all times.
July 2009 ? Worked on the film set for Warner Brothers whilst they filmed the remake of Clash of the Titans during this time, provided security and traffic management for them.
September 2008 ? Worked on the network rail contract in Nuneaton providing security to the rail line this included, mobile patrols and static observation post surveillance.

HM Forces
John served as a soldier with the Queens Royal Lancers in Osnabruck, Germany, finally attaining the rank of Corporal.
He began his military career in “A” Squadron, working his way up through the squadron before taking up the position of the squadron leader's gunner. Following this, he moved in to HQ Squadron, where he took up the position of the colonel's gunner in addition to working within the HQ command troop.
He was deployed on three operational tours during his time in the armed forces:
Bosnia in 1998 for SFOR (Stabilisation Force). He was deployed as the troop sergeant's loader for the duration of the 6 month tour.
Cyprus in 2000 on a UN Mission. During this time he was in the transport section organising the vehicle servicing and ensuring the regiment had all the vehicles that were required for the mission.
Iraq in 2003. During this deployment he did a varied and wide ranging job as a member of a tank regiment.
